A fate worse than death.

It's all part of his sick game. A game he's been planning for an entire decade. Now everything is perfect: one woman and one man have been selected. They used to be a couple - and they can no longer stand one another. They are the perfect victims. He doesn't intend for the game to be easy. He wants to push them to the brink of insanity, to make his hunt real....

A desire worth fighting for....

The couple has been captured and dumped into a massive wooded area. There's only one rule in this fatal game: They will have 72 hours to find a way out before the sadistic serial killer begins his hunt. But what he never could have expected was the explosive passion that ignites between the two ex-lovers - one that makes them strong. Fierce. And determined to do whatever it takes to escape - and to survive.

72 Hours was one heck of a romantic suspense. Author Bella Jewel created one crazy mofo serial killer. The creep factor skyrocket with popular romance narrator, Joe Arden as the voice of Bryce. I expect to hear one of my favorite male narrators as Lara’s love interest, but no…oh no.

The story was quick to take off. I found myself immersed in this audio right from the start. The majority of the story takes place while Lara and Noah fight to survive. We get a brief intro to the characters and then several flashbacks throughout as to Noah and Lara’s relationship. As expected, the author didn’t hold back with the suspense and just plain shiver dancing down your spine creepiness. The romance took a back seat to the suspense. What I didn’t expect, and loved, is that we got to see how Lara and Noah deal with the outcome of being hunted for 72 hours by a psycho.

Overall, this was a great listen. I’m glad I opted for the audio, as I don’t think it would have been as alluring to keep listening/reading if I had read it instead.
