It all comes down to this . . .
Chloe Lilywhite has struggled for years to find her footing in a series of dangerous and demanding worlds. Creator, first tier Council member, and one of the most powerful Magicals in existence, she was little more than one of Fate’s pawns. But now, Chloe is back home and ready to call the shots. She knows what she wants and who she wants to be.
Except the Elders never got the memo.
Annar and Magical-kind are under attack. The lives of Chloe’s loved ones, and life as they know it, are at stake. Chloe's the key to taking the Elders down, but they won't go quietly into the night.
This time, neither will Chloe.
A Matter of Forever by Heather Lyons Review
I was really looking forward to finishing this YA turned NA magical romance. While I loved the series as a whole, this last installment, A Matter of Forever, left me feeling slightly sad. I didn’t love the ending. I didn’t love Chloe as much as I did in book three, but more than book two. She seemed a lot more helpless than in other books. I so badly needed her to stand up for herself sooner than she did.
I did love how she and Jonah were more of a team. Their relationship was stronger and their love for each other was much more part of the story. However, the love triangle still loomed over them. Which ultimately is responsible for the ending I didn’t love. I want HEA. I want believable HEA. And I don’t feel one of the three important characters in this Fate series got a true HEA. I won’t go into detail for the risk of spoilers, but I just feel like he could have had a better HEA.
