There comes a point in your life where you have to say enough is enough.

I wasted my college years on a guy who played with my head, played with my heart. I was blinded by the fairytale, the one that didn’t exist.

The day I gave up on the idea of happily ever after, my focus became me. Moving forward and establishing my career.

Until one day…

I didn’t expect him. My new boss, a six foot two, inked rock god. I believed I was working for the record label, I was wrong.

It’s impossible for me to keep my distance, believe me I’ve tried. He’s not who I expected him to be. He’s so much more he’s…Emphatic

Emphatic was my first Kaylee Ryan book. And I’m definitely going to seek out more of her work. We start the book from Logan’s POV and the story is from her point of view for the first 20% of the book or so. Then we alternate between her and Kacen for the rest of the story. The narration was on point and I really enjoy this duo, Hobbs and Macie.

This was a sweet and sexy romance. There was some sexy time, but not a lot of it. Really, I’d say that the romance was almost a slow burn romance. But the plot hooked me early on and the characters, main and supporting were all wonderful. I can’t wait to continue with the series.
