Hello Obsessive Book Nerds!
Time for another update on some bookish things. From what I’ve read and what I’m listening too, and some other bookish news. Check it out…
What I’ve been reading…
Well, hello 2016. In the first ten days of the new year, I’ve read five books already. If you’re not a book blogger, you’re probably thinking “SLACKER!” if you’re a normal person, you’re thinking “You’re cray.”
Here’s the thing, I’ve played it safe on my yearly Goodreads Reading Challenges. I’ve found myself adjusting my goal because I meet it way too early in the year. So, I set my goal higher than it’s ever been before…130 books. And guess what? I’m only two books ahead of schedule. Ekk! SLACKER!
Anyways, here’s what I’ve read so far this year.
- Make Me Sin by J.T. Geissinger – Spoiler Alert! I gave this book fiver rocking stars.
- After the Kiss by Lauren Layne
- Call Me, Maybe by Ellie Cahill
- Steal Me by Lauren Layne
What I have been listening too…
Ok, so I’ve put this book off for years. I’ve wanted to read it but it’s kinda scared me a bit. But I decided the 2016 was the year I was going to read Outlander by Diana Gabaldon. But I really didn’t want to tackle an almost 900 page book, so I opted for the audio version. And Oh. My. Gosh. This book. THIS BOOK. I’m only three hours in to the 37 hour audio and it’s all I’m thinking about.
Confession: I’ve checked out pictures from the Starz series almost everyday, so I can physically see Jamie Fraser. Sigh.
Bookish item I love…
Other bookish stuff…
Book tracking…do you do it? I track everything on Goodreads. I visit Goodreads more than twice a day, everyday. I love Goodreads because it tracks all my reading, what I want to read and since I take part in the yearly challenge, it will show me pretty cool stats at the end of the year. But I recently read a post over at Book Riot about tracking your books in a spreadsheet.
I was curious, if anyone else tracks this way. I was thinking about giving it a try, but I think it would just be repetitive and time-consuming. I’m torn though….
Keep on reading!
